Driver’s Education news to share.
The ESU3 Driver Education Program has been helping local teens become safe, confident drivers for decades, preparing thousands of students to hit the road with the skills they need. Not only is Driver’s Ed a great way to build safe driving habits—it can also save you money. While not every insurance company offers a discount, some (like Farmers) won’t even rate your student on your policy until they’re 18 if they’ve completed an approved program.
Why Driver’s Ed Matters: According to the National Safety Council, teen drivers who complete an accredited Driver’s Education course are 24% less likely to be involved in a crash during their first year of driving. That’s peace of mind worth having. Schedule will be posted below.

Pickleball Is Coming to Main Street!
Big news from the Community Building: the gym floor has just been refinished and it’s shining like new! And now, we’re serving up something fresh...
Pickleball is officially coming soon! The court lines are in place, the net is on its way, and we’re getting ready to launch what might become Main Street’s favorite new pastime.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or have never picked up a paddle, this is your chance to get in on the fun. We’re even planning a Free Pickleball Night, where residents can reserve a complimentary hour of play to try it out.
Stay tuned—Main Street is about to get a lot more competitive (and a whole lot more fun)!

It Happen in Springfield
In the summer of 1977, Highway 50 was expanded from two lanes to four lanes between Platteview Road and just south of Main Street to manage the increasing traffic, especially from vehicles entering and exiting Springfield’s Main Street. This construction sometimes resulted in
closures from Highway 50 to Main Street or limited access to Main Street from the highway. Consequently, the roadwork had a detrimental effect on several Springfield businesses along the highway, notably Neitzels Oil and Swanigan’s Family Camper Center. Fortunately, the 1977 improvements have resulted in safer driving conditions along Highway 50 near Springfield.

Insurance Tip– Do You Insta, Grub, or Dash? Let Your Agent Know!
If you're delivering for services like Instacart, Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, or any similar gig—even part-time—it’s important to notify your insurance agent. Why? Because most standard personal auto policies do not cover delivery or commercial use.
If you get into an accident while delivering and haven't added the proper endorsement, your claim could be denied.

Fit Tip of the Week - Write It Down
Writing things down turns actions into habits. Whether it’s your workouts, meals, or personal goals, journaling helps you stay consistent and accountable. In just five minutes a day, you can track your progress, see where you’re improving, and catch areas that need attention. It doesn’t have to be perfect—just honest. When you give your thoughts and actions a place to land, you make space for clarity, growth, and lasting results.

COME ON OVER!
This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity. People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.
Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
