The winning trophy in Class C went to Platteview High School Marching Band for the best band at the college’s Homecoming and Band-O-Rama. The Trojans competed against twenty other high schools to win the honor. Director of Platteview High School’s band, Robert Leigh, led the Trojans in the Peru State College parade and half-time activities during the Peru vs. Kearney State football game. Platteview High’s Band competed the next Saturday at the Plattsmouth Marching Contest to earn another first place.
MAIN STREET ROAD WORK
Road improvements on Main Street from L A Bates to 10th Avenue are currently underway. Residents should expect ongoing Main Street closures in various forms over the next several weeks. Depending on the need of construction, road access may be limited to only one lane or both lanes closed at times. Please be prepared to use an alternate route at any point.
Please be patient during this construction phase to improve Springfield’s Main Street.
