The busy Christmas season is upon us! How many events and happenings can be scheduled for one month? No wonder we’re all depressed in January. It’s such a big let-down. So enjoy the festivities on and all!

This is not such a great picture of our neighbor's Christmas lights at 5th & Platteview Dr. You have to see them in person to the get real effect. For this and a whole lot more fantastic lighting displays take a drive around the area.  Thanks to all our neighbors in Springfield who decorate with Holiday lights!

Our local law enforcement officers are reminding us to drive safe during the Holidays. Extra officers will be out on the streets to keep us safe and to remove impaired drivers. This campaign, “You drink, you drive, you lose” will run throughout the Christmas and New Year’s season.  A kick-off event will take place at the Fire Guard, 4404 S. 76th Cir. in Omaha on December 4 with demonstrations, training and a press conference scheduled at 3pm.

It’s time for winter sports at Platteview Jr. and Sr. High. The season has started with boys and girls Basketball games and Wrestling meets scheduled for the coming months. Good luck teams and GO TROJANS!!!
