Jean Gottsch anounced the Springfield at Heart award winners

Congratulations to Amy Smith and Bob Green, “surprise” winners of the Springfielder at Heart award.  It’s not really a surprise due to the fact that Amy and Bob have given so much to our community.  Organizing the Springfield at Heart dinner is only one of the ways that Bob and Amy contribute to the good life here in Springfield.  It is only fitting that we recognize these two wonderful individuals.

Another surprise this past weekend was Sunday’s frigid temperatures and blustery winds. After the balmy temps on Saturday in the upper 50’s, Sunday was quite a shock to the system.  And we now have snow thanks to Tuesday's winter weather event, which has arrived just in time for Santa’s sleigh! It can stick around for the holidays then please, please just GO AWAY!

~ The most remarkable thing about my mother is that for thirty years she served the family nothing but leftovers. The original meal has never been found.
